  • Jukui Pagoda, is one of conserved best ancient architecture in Hannan province, dwarfing other towering coconut trees around her in the place 500 meters away from Tayang town to the south. As per the County Annals of Qionghai, the Jukui Pagoda was built by a governor of county in A.D. 1605. This pagoda is 7-storey Tang dynastic architecture with a height of up to 30 meters. The Jukui Pagoda is hollow inside, erecting from a solid foundation that is surrounded with bounding wall. The main entrance faces toward north and on the lintel of door, there is a stone plaque hanging out engraved 3 characters “Jukui Pagoda”. Jukui Pagoda is quaint and novel. Each storey of the pagoda consists of 8 walls. Through the main entrance, you can climb up to the second storey via a small stair-flight and then storey by storey till the climax of Jukui Pagoda. A wooden polar is built on the top, through which you can stand up on the highest point of this pagoda. Looking down from the summit, green trees, fresh lotus leaves, scarlet lotus flowers are in you sight. There are so beautiful beyond words.

  • Cai's Luxurious Mansion, also as known as the First Mansion of Hainan Oversees Chinese Town, is a magnificent mansion adopting eastern and western architecture techniques to built standing securely in Mo Village, Boao County, Hainan Province. It was built by a wealthy Indonesia businessman Cai Jiashen in 1934 when he came back to visit his relatives. Half century has passed, but it is still remaining uncharged like it used to be. It was built with green bricks and concrete. Easter and western architecture elements such as old coin and ancient lantern sculpture of China, Roman statue of human head are deployed to make this house quite different. It represents the architecture style of Hainan House.

  • There is a small village called Fenglong adjacent to the bank of Wanquan River. In the village, more than 20 old houses built in the later Qing dynasty are conserved quite well although witnessed a history of passed hundred years, among which 4 constructed by two brothers with the family name of Lu in 1888 are outstanding. Judged from outside appearance, the almost 200-year old houses are not different from local brick houses. However, when you talk into those houses, a world of difference pops up right before your eyes: Well-carved and exquisite screen is intact; Necessary furniture for a main chamber are equipped completely, such as square table, fauteil and tiny tea table etc.; Even pictures of bird and flower drawn on the lintel are vivid as if pained as yesterday. Every article inside the room is astonishing.

  • Lecheng locates in the southwestern part of Boao. It embeds like a pearl in the Valley of Wanquan River, where the ancient town of Lehui founded in the fourth year of Dade, Yuan dynasty rests. When history exceeds more than 700 years, when the original times are gone far far away, Lecheng is still there. Chenghuang Temple has been always sounded by incense. Ancient road paved with green bricks is still in action. Pillars used to guard the mansion of county governor are still standing upright. Old circumvallation is show modern people what he experience before.

    Although heritage is not everywhere, you are still able to smell of prosperity and flourishing in the old times. Additionally, almost flawless ecologic environment, crossed tropical field, laden tropic fruits, scaled ancient and modern houses, hospitable natives and historical customs, clear water of Wanquan River, luscious coconut and betel nut will leave you never-forgettable impression.
